The “SviTY” program is a comprehensive initiative by the Kids of Ukraine Charity Foundation, dedicated to providing holistic support, psychosocial recovery, and high-quality informal education and recreational activities for adolescents affected by the war.
At its core, the program carries a profound mission — restore children’s right to a happy childhood and a bright future.
Scope and Objectives
Today, the “SviTY” program operates across four psychosocial support centers in Lviv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, and Zhytomyr. Each year, 250–300 adolescents participate in the comprehensive recovery program at each center.
The program aims to restore psychological well-being, support adaptation and integration, and assist adolescents in making informed decisions about their future education, empowering them to navigate life confidently despite the challenges of the war.
A Space for Unconditional Acceptance and Growth
Within the safe environment of our centers, adolescents are free to express their feelings and thoughts without fear of judgment. Each participant is accepted as they are — with their experiences, dreams, and unique traits.
Professional guidance from experienced psychologists helps teenagers who have gone through traumatic events to restore inner balance, process their trauma, and embark on a path to healing through self-acceptance and trust in the world.
Comprehensive Program Components

We assist adolescents in discovering their professional calling through engaging visits to leading companies and organizations.
During these excursions, participants learn about modern professions, emerging industries, and available educational opportunities.
These experiences serve as a powerful motivator, inspiring teens to set ambitious goals and confidently plan their future, despite the challenges they have faced.

Recognizing the importance of addressing educational gaps, we design relevant and up-to-date programs for youth.
Our diverse courses cover key areas, including information technology, psychology, preparation for standardized exams, financial and media literacy, conflict resolution, design thinking, and many other essential life skills.
These courses help adolescents not only catch up on lost opportunities but also grow, explore new horizons, and confidently shape their future.

Understanding the importance of a holistic approach, we organize sessions with psychologists for parents.
During these sessions, parents receive professional psychological support, reduce stress and anxiety, and have the opportunity to share experiences with other families.
They learn to shift mindsets and behavioral patterns, develop new communication skills with their teenagers, and foster warmer, more supportive, and trusting family relationships.

Amid the picturesque peaks of the Carpathians unfolds the unique “SviTY” summer camp program — a space where adolescents find a path to inner restoration and new opportunities.
Our program is based on a scientifically grounded methodology that combines trauma-informed education, a restorative approach, and principles of non-violent communication.
Surrounded by majestic mountains, rivers, and forests, with crystal-clear air — in a place where nature itself supports healing.
Transformational Impact of the “SviTY” Program

Participants show significant improvements in mood, increased vitality, and, most importantly, a reduction in anxious thoughts and destructive emotional states.

The program helps adolescents build friendships, adapt to new social environments, and inspires the creation of supportive peer networks.

Participants gain the valuable opportunity to be themselves and experience unconditional acceptance from others, significantly boosting self-confidence and self-esteem.

Through educational workshops and masterclasses, adolescents acquire new knowledge, practical skills, and expand their competencies.

The program opens up new opportunities for participants, laying the foundation for further personal and professional growth.

Participants of the “SviTY” program gain much more than psychological support. They enhance their emotional well-being, develop emotional intelligence, strengthen inner resilience, and build belief in their own abilities, while also improving teamwork and constructive communication skills.
