But at the SviTY centers, every day is about supporting the mental health of teenagers.
In Lviv, Khmelnytskyi, Zhytomyr, and Cherkasy, teens receive support, restore their inner resources, learn to manage their emotions, and find a community. Since the program’s launch, over 1,800 teenagers have participated 💛
Why is this so important right now?
The war has changed the lives of millions of Ukrainian children (UNICEF data):
➡️ 1.5 million need psychological support;
➡️ 60% have experienced traumatic events;
➡️ 45% live with elevated anxiety.
Adolescence is a period when trauma, without support, can shape the entire future.
But timely help can change the trajectory: teenagers who receive psychosocial support cope better with challenges and regain a sense of safety.
Caring for mental health doesn’t need a special date — at SviTY, it happens every day. 💛
