Participation in the Eurochild Conference 2026

The team of the KIDS OF UKRAINE Charitable Foundation participated in the international Eurochild Conference 2026, dedicated to the development of child protection systems in Europe. The event brought together more than 160 participants from 31 countries, serving as an important platform for knowledge exchange and the consolidation of efforts.

As part of the conference, the foundation delivered a workshop on the impact of the full-scale war on the daily lives of Ukrainian teenagers. During the presentation, we drew the attention of the international community to the challenges young people face every day: constant air raid sirens, disrupted education, uncertainty, and prolonged exposure to chronic stress.

A special focus of the session was placed on the critical importance of creating safe spaces and providing systematic psychosocial support. Drawing on the experience of our “SviTY” program, we shared effective approaches to working with young people, particularly children from military families and those in urgent need of support. We emphasized that the primary goal of such initiatives is to ensure stability and create conditions for restoring a sense of inner resilience in adolescents.

The practical part of the workshop was held in an interactive World Café format. Together with European colleagues, we discussed effective practices for supporting children in crisis situations, exchanged experiences from different organizations, and jointly developed approaches to identify the most effective solutions.

We sincerely thank the organizers of Eurochild for the opportunity to take part in this important international dialogue, and all participants for their deep engagement and shared commitment to the protection and recovery of childhood.
