SviTYrun in Lviv: a charity run in support of teenagers

On October 18, 2025, Stryskyi Park in Lviv was filled with energy and inspiration as the SviTYrun charity race took place, organized by the charitable foundation KIDS OF UKRAINE in partnership with the running club PROBIG and the Office of Sport of the Lviv City Council. Participants of all ages joined the event to support teenagers who have experienced the war and to contribute to an important social mission.

The run brought together not only participants from Lviv but also supporters from other cities across Ukraine and from abroad. The atmosphere that day was truly special: hundreds of steps and kilometers turned into symbolic support for children in need of care and attention. The park was filled with mutual encouragement, a shared drive to help, and a strong sense of unity.

As a result of the event, UAH 63,626 was raised. The funds were directed to support the work of the psychosocial centers SviTY centers in Lviv, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, and Zhytomyr, where teenagers receive psychological support and assistance in recovering from the stress caused by the war.

The organizers and partners created a safe and inspiring environment — from the morning warm-up and race start to the finish line and shared celebration. Sports can become a platform for meaningful change, and every kilometer and every act of support has a real impact on children’s lives.
