A new “SviTY” Psychosocial Support Center has opened in Zhytomyr — a space created specifically to support adolescents affected by the consequences of the war. The Center will provide assistance to children from families who were forced to leave their homes due to military aggression, as well as to those whose parents are currently serving in the Armed Forces or were killed while defending Ukraine.
Qualified specialists at the Center apply modern approaches to overcoming psychological trauma, including interactive exercises, play-based techniques, relaxation practices, and art therapy. Each method is carefully selected to help adolescents process their experiences in a safe environment and to identify internal resources for recovery and resilience.
The Zhytomyr Center was opened with the support of the BGV Charitable Fund and has become the fourth “SviTY” space in Ukraine, following centers in Lviv, Cherkasy, and Khmelnytskyi. This marks another step toward ensuring that every child affected by the war has access to high-quality psychological support and the opportunity to regain a sense of childhood.
