Four Years of the Psychosocial Recovery Program “SviTY”

01.06.2026

The psychosocial recovery program “SviTY” has turned four years old. On June 1, 2022, the first “SviTY” space was launched in Lviv as an urgent response to the challenges of the full-scale war.

From the very beginning, the program’s main goal has been to restore a sense of stability for children affected by the war, including teenagers from military families, internally displaced families, and those in urgent need of psychosocial support.

Over the years, the initiative has grown significantly: from a single space in Lviv, it has developed into a network that now operates systematically in four cities across Ukraine. These include the “SviTY” spaces in Lviv, Cherkasy, Khmelnytskyi, and Zhytomyr (operating with the support of the BGV Charity Fund).

We consider the individual progress of each participant to be the most accurate measure of the program’s effectiveness. Our main impact is reflected in real stories of change — in those meaningful moments when teenagers find a safe space, gradually rebuild trust in the world, strengthen their sense of grounding, and begin to plan for the future again. Over the years, we have seen children discover their inner strength, gain confidence, and develop courage to explore new opportunities.

The most important element of our work has always remained unchanged — people. Children and teenagers who inspire us every day with their sincerity and creativity. Families who trust us to stand beside them in important moments of their lives. A dedicated team and reliable partners who make it possible to create spaces of safety and support.

It is a great honor for us to be part of children’s recovery journey. We continue our work by ensuring stability and helping young people build a strong foundation for their future.
